Instant Aroma Therapy

By CYN LoPINTO
Editor-in-chief, gerontologist

February 2016 From The Editor AromaI find that the dreary winter months are a great time of year to surround myself with things that smell nice. Introducing pleasant aromas can really alter my mood and help create a relaxing atmosphere. I make sure to light different candles expressing whatever feelings I am experiencing. I may choose a tropical summer scent to start my day and when the night’s cooler temperatures creep in, I might light something with an earthy aroma.

I even treated myself to a collection of assorted body butters with different scents to use on my winter skin. I love switching it up and smelling something new each night before I go to bed. Experimenting with perfumes and oils also add a positive vibe to the environment. By introducing and changing different scents this time of year, reassures me that spring is just around the corner.
