Falling Into Place

Sept 2015 From The Editor - Falling Into PlaceWhat is it about the month of September that stirs up feelings of renewal and promises of new beginnings? No matter how old we become, the childhood memories associated with fall and the start of a new school year remain deep inside of us. Thoughts drift to making schedules and becoming more organized. After the laid back days of summer, there is a part of us that longs for some much-needed structure.

Personally, I find that concentrating efforts on a small project is the best way to start the ball rolling. There is usually something nagging at me that I have been putting off doing for some time. This past summer I have been printing out and trying different recipes. I kept haphazardly stuffing these into a large binder that has quickly become unusable. My plan is to organize these recipes into easy-to-find categories, place them inside clear plastic sleeves and decorate the binder. When the cooler temperatures start creeping in, I will be ready with my arsenal of new culinary treats. Maybe you too will discover a fall project to start you on your own journey.
