A Cup Of Heaven

Whether you are a coffee or tea drinker, taking the time to sip that cup of instant warmth can be just the comfort you need. I enjoy both coffee and tea but there is nothing like a fresh cup of coffee to get me out of bed in the morning. It gets me ready to tackle whatever the day brings. My second cup is often mid-morning as a reward for what’s been accomplished and a boost for what is still left to do.  I really make it a point to savor both as I do believe it is one of the simple pleasures in life.

I drink herbal decaffeinated tea so instead of it being a jolt like coffee is, a cup of tea is part of a mini-relaxation ritual. I even have special and prettier cups for tea. I sit back, put my feet up and nurture myself. This is especially true if I am feeling run-down or depleted. A cup of hot tea is the perfect remedy for both the physical and emotional stresses of the day.

So whether you prefer coffee, tea or both like I do, allow yourself time to enjoy moments of peace throughout the day. We are all worthy of these small nurturing breaks that improve mood and give us the fuel to move ahead.  That relaxing and much-deserved cup of coffee or tea is still one of life’s simple pleasures.
