Down On The Farm

I was lucky this year to take a family vacation on a farm near the mountains in western New Jersey. It was a family reunion on my husband’s side and took place in such a breathtaking and beautiful part of the country. I was thankful just being in nature and watching the kids and grandkids enjoying the outside.

I especially loved being off of electronics. Since we all spend so much time staring at screens (tv, computers, phones, etc.), being away from all of that was refreshing. We filled our days spending time with the animals, going on hayrides, playing outdoor games and creating art projects. There was music, wine and delicious food. It was the type of vacation that I needed. The right side of my brain got some much-appreciated time off, while the left side of my brain was able to flourish.
